The Denver Broncos visit the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium for the Dolphins’ home opener. Here are our top predictions for the Broncos-Dolphins game based on the latest NFL odds from our top sports betting apps.

After securing two impressive road wins in the AFC, the Miami Dolphins are aiming to continue their winning streak by defeating the Denver Broncos at home and improving their record to 3-0. The team’s offense has been dominant, averaging 465 yards and 30 points per game, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa leading the charge and currently leading the NFL MVP odds.

In Year 2 of the Russell Wilson era in Denver, the Broncos’ performance is reminiscent of the first year. However, there is a silver lining as their 33 points in Week 2 marked the highest scoring output since Wilson’s arrival.

Here are our top predictions for the Broncos vs. Dolphins game and our NFL picks, with odds from our trusted NFL betting sites. Our confidence level is rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Broncos vs. Dolphins prediction

Broncos +6.5 (-108 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This line in our Week 3 NFL predictions is one of the most questionable.

The Dolphins’ offense has been outstanding in the first two weeks, leading the team to victory in two challenging away games. The defense has also stepped up when needed, putting Miami in a good position to win in the final moments. Despite their strong performance, the Dolphins are only favored by 6.5 points at home against the winless Broncos.

The Broncos appear to be the better choice upon further examination. The Dolphins are dealing with multiple injuries, including uncertainties surrounding Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. While Hill is expected to play, Waddle’s status remains unclear. Together, they have accounted for 419 of Tua Tagovailoa’s 715 yards this season. If either player is unable to participate, it would greatly impact the Dolphins’ offense. If both are sidelined, the Dolphins could face significant challenges.

There is an 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms on Sunday, which could impact the game. The Dolphins may struggle with their speed on a wet field.

Since Wilson joined the team, the Broncos have lost 11 out of 14 games by a margin of seven points or fewer. Due to the Dolphins’ injuries and weak defense, the Broncos are expected to remain competitive until the end of the game. Despite the Dolphins’ strong performance, both of their previous games have been close contests decided by one score.

Kelly Gage, one of our own, is supporting the Broncos in his NFL upset picks for Week 3.

Editor’s note: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Miami wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will not be playing in Sunday’s game against Denver due to a concussion.

We believe the line for the Broncos will not continue to trend in their favor. If you’re willing to wait, you may be able to secure a better price.

Broncos vs. Dolphins odds analysis

The Dolphins started as 7-point favorites, but the line has since decreased to 6.5 across all top live betting platforms. Despite 58% of bets favoring the Dolphins to cover, oddsmakers have shifted the spread in favor of the Broncos. It is possible that the line may return to the key number before the game begins, but currently, oddsmakers seem content to allow bettors to take the bait.

Regarding the overall total, it initially started at 48 and has either remained at that number or decreased to 47.5 at all five major sportsbooks. However, due to the Dolphins’ struggling offense, this number may continue to decrease, despite 53% of bets favoring the Over.
