The New England Patriots will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in a matchup between two struggling AFC teams. We have selected the top NFL player props for the Chargers vs. Patriots game in Week 13, using the most favorable NFL odds from our recommended sports betting apps.

The Los Angeles Chargers, now 4-7 on the season after losing three close games in a row, are set to play a team that has also lost four consecutive games and gives up an average of 22.5 points per game this week.

Bailey Zappe will be starting for the New England Patriots in place of Mac Jones, who has thrown 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season. Zappe has seen limited action, completing 19 of 39 passes for 158 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

Here are our top player prop picks for the Chargers vs. Patriots NFL game in Week 13, in addition to our NFL predictions and player props. These picks are based on odds from our recommended NFL betting sites and are rated on a confidence scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Chargers vs. Patriots NFL player props: Week 13

Austin Ekeler Over 86.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

This week, the Chargers have the opportunity to release all their pent-up frustrations from the season. As a result, every star player on the team is poised to have a standout performance. Despite Keenan Allen being limited in practice, it is likely that Ekeler will be the player who sees the most production this week.

In the previous week, he only managed to gain a total of 64 yards, with the Baltimore Ravens limiting him to 3.2 yards per carry and 6.4 yards per catch. Ekeler has not surpassed 70 yards in a single game since facing the Detroit Lions in Week 10. Nonetheless, as the Chargers face a critical moment in the season, they must find a way to increase the involvement of one of their key offensive players in an advantageous matchup, despite the strong defensive statistics of the Patriots.

The Patriots are average in passing yards allowed per game and rank seventh in rushing yards allowed. However, we shouldn’t rely too heavily on their season-long statistics. Ekeler is poised for a standout game, especially with his high average touches per game. If Allen is limited, Ekeler should excel even more on Sunday.

DeVante Parker Under 34.5 receiving yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Despite limiting Lamar Jackson to 177 passing yards in their last game, the Chargers still have the weakest pass defense in the NFL. However, it is doubtful that the Patriots will be able to exploit this weakness, given that they have the 10th-worst pass offense in the league and Zappe is the starting quarterback.

Parker has only exceeded 35 yards in a game twice this season. Despite finishing last week with three catches for 42 yards, his performance was lackluster. In eight games, he has only accumulated 18 catches for 200 yards. With just 30 targets, he will likely continue to struggle even in a favorable matchup.

Out of our top sports betting apps, four have Parker’s total at 34.5. The only site that differs is FanDuel, which has it at 33.5. We choose bet365 for the best price as they offer Parker’s total at 34.5.

Justin Herbert Over 1.5 touchdown passes (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Herbert only managed to throw one touchdown against the Ravens last week, following his impressive six-touchdown performance in the previous two games. Throughout the season, Herbert has struggled to consistently throw touchdown passes, with five of his games resulting in one or fewer touchdowns.

The Patriots have been stingy with allowing only 1.2 touchdown passes per game, though some credit may be due to facing teams with low touchdown pass numbers in recent weeks. On the other hand, the Chargers rank fifth in the league for touchdown passes per game. Even if Herbert has difficulty gaining yards in the air, the Patriots’ turnovers could provide him with advantageous field position to work with.

FanDuel is the only one among our top sportsbooks offering Over 1.5 for -122 on this prop bet. The rest of our recommended live betting sites have odds of -115 or lower, with BetMGM offering the best odds.
