The Washington Commanders, with a 1-0 record, are heading on the road to face the 0-1 Denver Broncos. Here are our top predictions for the Commanders vs. Broncos matchup based on the latest NFL odds from our top sports betting apps.

The Denver Broncos continued their trend from Week 1, with a strong defensive showing but struggling offense leading to another close loss.

Despite securing a 20-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week, the Washington Commanders’ performance was lackluster, as they only managed to gain 248 total yards and committed three turnovers.

Below is our top prediction for the Commanders vs. Broncos matchup, along with our recommended best bets for Week 2 of the NFL season. We also provide our picks for potential upsets and player props. Odds are sourced from our trusted NFL betting sites, and our confidence level for each pick is rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Commanders vs. Broncos prediction

Under 39 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

There is no reasonable argument for betting on either of these teams to cover the spread this week. The Commanders appeared to be one of the weakest teams in the league in Week 1, and the Broncos have a 5-13 record with Russell Wilson as their quarterback.

However, we believe there is significant value in betting the Under in this game. Despite the low number, it is unlikely that both teams will score 20 points.

Despite throwing for 177 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, Wilson’s top receiver was Samaje Perine. The team’s offensive performance, which only yielded 271 total yards against an average Las Vegas Raiders defense, does not inspire much confidence, even with Sean Payton at the helm.

Despite the Broncos’ strong defense, they are expected to dominate against Sam Howell. Howell only threw for 202 yards against the Cardinals and is likely to struggle again in this game. While both offenses look promising on paper, it is advisable to bet on the Under until they demonstrate their potential on the field.

FanDuel stands out with a total of 39.5, but we believe the extra half-point isn’t worth the cost. We recommend placing your bet at another sportsbook as they all provide the same option.

Don’t wait to bet on the Under. The odds may not change, but if they do, they will likely decrease.

Commanders vs. Broncos odds analysis

The initial total for this game was 39 and has remained unchanged on four of our top sports betting apps. FanDuel is the only one to adjust the number, raising it by half a point despite 63% of bets favoring the Under. Given the lackluster performances of both teams in Week 1, it is likely that the total will decrease or stay the same if any movement occurs.

The Broncos started as 3.5-point favorites and the spread remains unchanged. 54% of bets are on the Broncos covering, but we don’t expect the line to shift much throughout the week. It may drop to three points if more bettors support the Commanders closer to kickoff, but overall, we don’t anticipate strong backing for either team in this matchup.
