The Miami Dolphins visit the Washington Commanders in a game with one of the most unequal betting lines of the week. Check out our top player props for Dolphins vs. Commanders in Week 13 based on the odds from our trusted NFL prop betting websites.

The Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 34-13 in Week 12, bringing their record to 8-3. Although the offense has not been as explosive as it was earlier in the season, Miami is still winning games due to their improved defensive performance.

The Washington Commanders were only 10 points behind the Dallas Cowboys going into the fourth quarter of their recent game. Unfortunately, Dallas dominated in the final quarter, outscoring Washington 25-0. This loss marked the Commanders’ third consecutive defeat, dropping their record to 4-8 and tying them with the New York Giants for last place in the NFC East.

Here are our top player prop bets for the Dolphins vs. Commanders game in Week 13 of the NFL season, along with our predictions and confidence ratings on a 1 to 5 star scale, based on odds from our recommended NFL betting sites.

Dolphins vs. Commanders NFL player props: Week 13

Tua Tagovailoa Over 281.5 passing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tagovailoa has only surpassed this number once in his last three games. However, it is essential to start him against the current Commanders’ defense. In their recent games, they have allowed two out of three quarterbacks to throw for over 300 yards. The only exception was New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito, who threw for a career-high 246 yards.

The Commanders are giving up an average of 264.6 passing yards per game, ranking them third-worst in the NFL. Despite this, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have proven they will continue to throw the ball, even if they have a big lead. While the Commanders are average in terms of rushing yards allowed per game, the Dolphins are likely to do most of their damage through the air rather than on the ground.

Four out of the five top NFL prop betting sites have set the total at 281.5. FanDuel has it slightly lower at 280.5, but they are asking for -114. For better odds and one extra yard, we suggest betting on bet365 instead of the other top sports betting apps.

Sam Howell Over 39.5 pass attempts (-108 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

FanDuel has set the prop one attempt higher than all other major sportsbooks. Nevertheless, Howell is expected to easily surpass this number, making it unnecessary to settle for the lower option at a higher cost.

Howell has thrown the ball at least 42 times in six straight games, with an average of 45.3 pass attempts per game. Given his consistent passing volume, it is surprising that he would throw less than 40 passes against the second-highest-scoring team in the NFL.

The Dolphins rank sixth in run defense while the Commanders have the 25th best rushing attack. Despite facing a tough Dolphins secondary, Howell may struggle to find success and the Commanders will likely rely heavily on their running game. With the Commanders playing catch-up throughout the game, Howell is expected to throw the ball over 40 times once again.

Curtis Samuel Over 36.5 receiving yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Last week against the Cowboys, Samuel had a season-high nine catches, marking his first 100-yard game of the year. This impressive performance followed two weeks of low receiving yardage from the Commanders’ second-leading receiver.

Samuel is expected to have another impressive game in a matchup where the Commanders are anticipated to pass frequently. With Miami cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey likely focusing on shutting down Washington wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, Samuel is poised to be the main target for quarterback Howell, receiving the majority of his 40+ passes for the second consecutive week.

All of our top NFL prop betting sites are currently offering a prop bet for Samuel at 36.5 yards. Bet365 has the best price out of all of them. Despite Samuel not being a well-known player, we anticipate that this line will remain stable, as he has a favorable matchup.
