The Los Angeles Chargers have entered a new era under the leadership of backup QB Easton Stick, who is taking over the starting role from Justin Herbert following his season-ending finger surgery.

During Week 14, Stick replaced the injured Herbert in a one-sided defeat to the Denver Broncos. He completed 13 of 24 passes for 179 yards, mostly in the second half. Now, Stick has a whole week to get ready for the upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders defense limited Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullens to just 146 passing yards in the Minnesota Vikings’ 3-0 victory in Las Vegas.

Easton Stick Over 190.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stick didn’t perform well in his professional debut last week, where he had only attempted one pass in 2020. As a result, most of the top sports betting sites have set his passing yards total relatively low.

However, one book stands out by offering a total eight yards lower than the near-consensus of 198.5.

We are targeting FanDuel’s total of 190.5. DraftKings, Caesars, and bet365 have totals set at 199.5, while Pinnacle has Stick’s total at 198.5. BetRivers initially opened at 194.5 before quickly rising to 197.5, the closest number to FanDuel’s.

Based on nine different projection models, the average passing yards projection for Stick is 217.05, with a 26-yard margin of error. One model predicts he will have less than 183 passing yards, while the remaining eight models all forecast over 191 yards, with one even predicting as many as 247 passing yards.

According to the average projection, we can expect a positive value of over 33% by placing this bet on FanDuel.

According to Kelly Irvin’s analysis, Aidan O’Connell, the Raiders quarterback, is expected to exceed his total of 204.5.

After analyzing nine projection models, O’Connell’s average projected passing yards total is 213.64. When combined with Stick’s projection of 217.05 yards, we have a total in the 430 range. This gives me enough confidence to place a bet on the combined passing yards prop.
