2024 NFL win total odds

This market is being offered by DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars, and bet365.

It is important to pay attention to which side of the bet a book is favoring more. In many cases, there is a significant difference between the odds for the Over and Under, indicating which side is the clear favorite.

In some instances, the likelihood of a team’s selection with its first-round pick was already reflected in the odds before the draft. This was evident with the Chicago Bears and Williams, whose odds to secure Over 8.5 wins slightly shortened despite the predictability. However, in numerous other cases, the win totals and odds could experience more significant shifts in the days and weeks following the draft.

Consider the situation and the team you are interested in carefully to decide if it is best to make a move now or to wait until the market has stabilized and most rosters are set.

AFC win total odds analysis

It is not surprising that two out of the three teams in the AFC have a total greater than 10.5.

Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are both projected to win 11.5 games. In 2023, the Ravens exceeded this projection by finishing with a 13-4 record, only to be defeated by the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs narrowly missed hitting the Over on 11.5 wins, but still managed to clinch their second consecutive Super Bowl title. Kansas City ended the regular season with an 11-6 record before dominating in the playoffs. Prior to the 2023 season, the Chiefs had achieved 12 or more wins in five straight seasons, including two seasons with a 14-3 record.

Meanwhile, the Patriots, who appear to be lacking energy, are moving away from their successful era led by Tom Brady. However, there is a glimmer of hope with the recent drafting of Darke Maye as the third overall pick. DraftKings and Caesars have low expectations for them with only 4.5 wins predicted, tying them for the lowest in the league. In 2023, the Patriots’ offense was at the bottom, scoring just 13.9 points per game.

The San Francisco 49ers are tied with the Ravens and Chiefs with 11.5 wins, ranking as the third team in the list. Despite playoff struggles and defensive challenges to address, the 49ers are a formidable team that averaged 28.9 points per game in 2023, ranking third in the league. Their offense is loaded with talent, including the addition of a speedy wide receiver in the first round of the draft alongside Ricky Pearsall.

Similarly, the Dallas Cowboys’ high-scoring offense, led by head coach Mike McCarthy, has achieved three consecutive 12-win seasons but has struggled in the playoffs. The Detroit Lions have also earned a projected win total of 10.5, matching Dallas, and have excelled offensively while ranking second in passing yards per game. The Lions have focused on improving their secondary with early cornerback selections, whereas Dallas prioritized bolstering its offensive line with two of its first three picks.

The Green Bay Packers are the most intriguing NFC team, with a young and rising roster. Despite early struggles with an inexperienced quarterback in 2023, the team won six of its last eight regular-season games and surprised everyone with a playoff victory over the Cowboys. With a 10.5-win total through DraftKings, the Packers are on par with the top teams in the NFC.

Over bettors should consider looking for the 9.5 win total on the Packers at bet365 and FanDuel at this time, but be prepared to pay a higher juice for that number.
