The Indianapolis Colts have a new quarterback and are entering Week 1 with a sense of optimism. Betting expert Stewart Serena from Underscoreg Review has analyzed the available markets and provided his predictions and picks in our Colts betting preview, focusing on the latest NFL futures odds from top sports betting apps.

The revolving door of veteran quarterbacks has come to a halt, with the Indianapolis Colts entrusting their future to the talented Anthony Richardson.

The Richardson era will kick off in Week 1, as he aims to bring the franchise back to prominence, following in the footsteps of Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.

The Colts are entrusting first-year head coach Shane Steichen with the reins in Indianapolis, which means there is a lot to unravel with the team. One thing is certain – it will be challenging to not improve on last season’s 4-12-1 record.

Take a look at our 2026 Indianapolis Colts betting preview, which includes odds from our top live betting sites and confidence ratings on a 1 to 5-star scale.

Colts betting preview 2026

As of August 15th, here are the betting preview picks for the Colts.

Colts to win Under 6.5 games (+110 via DraftKings) ⭐

(Odds as of September 1st)

OutcomeDraftKingsFanDuelBetMGMCaesarsbet365
Over 6.5-130 ❄️-118-120-110 -125
Under 6.5+110 -104+100-110 ❄️+100

Our top sports betting sites align closely with my projections, and there is minimal value in betting on the Indianapolis Colts to win more than 6.5 games. I have calculated the Colts to win 6.7 games, and I am pricing the Under 6.5 at +104.

The +110 through DraftKings offers a modest expected value of 3%.

Nevertheless, my analysis indicates that it is best to avoid betting on the Over 6.5. The current odds for the Over 6.5 are -115 at Caesars, but I have calculated it to be -104, resulting in a negative expected value of 5%.

Colts division finishing position: 3rd (+200 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐

To win AFC+7000+6500 ❄️+8000 +8000+6600
To win AFC South+600+550+550+700  +600

The Colts have the third-highest odds to win the AFC South at +736, which gives them a 12% chance of winning the division. However, there is no advantage in the current odds offered by our top sportsbooks.

Indianapolis may struggle to surpass both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, but I am confident they can secure the third spot in the AFC South ahead of the Houston Texans.

Anthony Richardson Over 2,475.5 passing yards (-112 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

I anticipate that Richardson’s exceptional athleticism won’t keep him on the sidelines in Indy for long. As a young, raw prospect at 21 years old, he will experience the ups and downs of being a rookie. However, it would be a disservice to the team if the most talented athlete is left holding a clipboard instead of playing on the field.

Richardson’s passing yards totals do not match up with him playing all 17 games, and he does not need to exceed FanDuel’s low benchmark.

My projection for Richardson is 2,783 passing yards, making it a safe bet with no risks on the table. It’s a great opportunity to take advantage of through FanDuel.

Update: As of September 1, FanDuel has adjusted the over/under for Anthony Richardson’s passing yards to 2,700.5 with odds of -112.

Coach of the Year: Shane Steichen (+2500 via DraftKings) ⭐

After serving as the play-caller for the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles last season, Steichen will now showcase his coaching skills in Indianapolis as a head coach for the first time. Surprisingly, the offensive setup for the team, despite their 4-12-1 record last season, appears to be quite promising.

With a physically gifted phenomenon at quarterback, Steichen has a strong chance to lead Indianapolis to the playoffs in a relatively weak AFC South division. If they can secure a playoff spot, Steichen will undoubtedly be considered for Coach of the Year honors.

Considering this, placing a bet on Indianapolis bouncing back from a disastrous 2026 season is a great opportunity to potentially earn a significant payout due to the higher odds.

Colts Over 340.5 regular season total points (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐

Indy has the second-lowest regular-season points total, only behind the Arizona Cardinals. The Colts have the third-shortest odds (+1100) via DraftKings to be the lowest-scoring team in the NFL.

Last season, Indianapolis scored 289 points with quarterbacks Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, and Nick Foles, who together had the lowest pass DVOA in the league according to Football Outsiders.

The duo of Richardson and Steichen is quietly promising, and the Colts have a strong chance to bounce back after falling short of expectations in 2026.
