After their bye week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Detroit Lions. One of the top player props for the Lions vs. Buccaneers game in Week 6 is focused on Detroit running back David Montgomery. Our NFL picks are determined by the NFL odds provided by our top sports betting apps.

The Detroit Lions have started the season with a 4-1 record under the leadership of potential NFL Coach of the Year Dan Campbell, and they currently sit atop the NFC North standings.

This matchup could present a challenge for the Lion.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are leading the NFC South with a 3-1 record, are prepared to match up against Detroit’s strengths after coming off a bye week. However, we expect the tough Detroit Lions to have a successful game on Sunday.

Here are our top player prop picks for the Lions-Buccaneers NFL game in Week 6, along with our expert NFL predictions and best bets. Odds are from reputable NFL betting sites, and our confidence level is rated on a 1-to-5-star scale.

Lions vs. Buccaneers NFL player props: Week 6

David Montgomery anytime touchdown scorer (-150 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite head coach Dan Campbell’s repeated statements, it seems the world has yet to fully believe that the Lions are counting on free-agent signing David Montgomery to be their primary running back, rather than 12th-overall draft pick Jahmyr Gibbs. Montgomery has received 88 rushing attempts in the four games he has played, scoring at least one touchdown in each of those contests.

Despite Gibbs’ uncertain status for Week 6 because of a hamstring injury, Montgomery is expected to have a heavy workload on Sunday. He will likely handle goal-line duties, even if Gibbs is able to play. Despite the Buccaneers’ strong defense against the run, having only allowed two rushing touchdowns in four games, Montgomery should still be a key contributor in the Lions’ offense.

Two of our top sportsbooks, DraftKings and Caesars, have noticed the Lions’ reliance on their top running back and have increased Montgomery’s anytime touchdown odds to -175. However, there is still value to be found at FanDuel and bet365, where Montgomery’s odds to score a touchdown are -155 and -150, respectively.

Jared Goff Over 22.5 pass completions (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Tampa Bay’s passing defense ranks average in terms of yardage, but their bend-but-don’t-break strategy has led to opponents having high completion numbers. The Bucs have allowed an average of 24.0 completions per game, which puts them at 21st in the NFL.

Goff has only surpassed this line once in 2026, but has come close with two 22-completion games. With a tough rushing defense expected in a competitive game environment, Detroit may not be able to lean on the run game as much as they would prefer. This could result in more passing opportunities for Goff to exceed this line.

DraftKings offers the Goff completions prop at even odds, making it a better bet on Over 22.5 completions compared to the odds at Caesars (-101) or bet365 (-105).

Rachaad White Under 45.5 rushing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Buccaneers are known for their strong defense against the run, but the Lions have outperformed them by allowing only 68.4 rushing yards per game this season, ranking third in the league.

This week, Rachaad White faces a tough opponent in the Lions, and his lackluster performance this season (averaging just 3.3 yards per carry) may work against him in a matchup like this. While White has surpassed this rushing total in two out of four games this year, the Lions present a formidable challenge that may prove to be his toughest test yet.

Most of the top live betting sites have White’s rushing total at 45.5 yards, but it’s important to compare the odds. Caesars and DraftKings have higher odds for betting the Under at -131 and -125, respectively. We recommend betting at Caesars or bet365 for better odds at -115 and -110, respectively.

Player props for Lions vs. Bucs were set on Friday at 4 p.m. ET.
