Lions vs. Packers player props: Thursday Night Football

Romeo Doubs to catch a pass during first Packers drive (+135 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In 2026, Green Bay’s new quarterback Jordan Love has thrown 96 passes in three games. Out of those, 20 have been targeted towards Romeo Doubs, putting him in a tie with Jayden Reed for the team lead. Love has successfully connected with Doubs on the opening drive in two out of the first three games of the season.

In the first three games, the Lions have allowed nine completions on opponents’ opening drives. Detroit’s defense is facing an average of 39.3 pass attempts per game, ranking sixth highest in the league. It is likely that Green Bay will look to establish their passing game early against the Lions, with Love targeting one of his top receivers.

Jahmyr Gibbs Over AJ Dillon rushing yards (+110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This matchup will feature the second-string running backs, as Aaron Jones and David Montgomery are anticipated to make their return for the Packers and Lions. In the previous game, Dillon and Gibbs handled most of the rushing duties due to injuries to the starters. Gibbs outperformed Dillon, rushing for 80 yards on 17 carries compared to Dillon’s 33 yards on 11 carries.

Despite Jones being on the field, the Packers’ backup has received double-digit carries in every game of 2026. Unfortunately, his average of just 2.7 yards per carry indicates that simply getting more opportunities won’t necessarily benefit him in the upcoming matchup.

With Montgomery back in the lineup, Gibbs has reverted to being the second choice for running back. In the two games he has played in this role, he has accumulated 14 carries and 52 yards. His advantage in this particular game is his impressive 4.5 yards per carry average. Additionally, Gibbs has outperformed Dillon in two out of the three games they have both played in this season.

Detroit Lions Over 3.5 first-quarter points (+100 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In their first three games of 2026, the Lions have been averaging 5.7 points in the first quarter. They have scored a touchdown in the opening 15 minutes in two out of three games. Additionally, the Lions have controlled over 46% of the time of possession in the first quarter, increasing to nearly 60% on away games. Holding onto the ball and scoring touchdowns has been a notable strength for the Lions in the early part of the season.

In 2026, Green Bay has been giving up an average of 4.7 points in the first quarter. During Week 3, the Packers allowed the New Orleans Saints to score a touchdown on their second possession.
