You can find the 2025 NFL Draft odds on the top NFL betting sites, where top quarterbacks are favored to be the No. 1 pick.

For months, if not longer, the Chicago Bears were widely anticipated to choose USC QB Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. When that prediction came true, no one was surprised. However, the 2025 NFL Draft is completely unpredictable.

The top two quarterbacks leading the odds at our top sports betting sites are Shedeur Sanders from Colorado and Carson Beck from Georgia. Sanders is currently the favorite to be selected first overall, but Beck is leading the Heisman Trophy odds with Quinn Ewers from Texas not far behind.

Following the elite quarterbacks, James Pearce Jr. from Tennessee, Mykel Williams from Georgia, Will Campbell from LSU, and Travis Hunter from Colorado are the standout non-quarterbacks projected to be selected early in the NFL Draft in April.

With the focus now on next year’s draft, we turn to our top NFL betting sites to examine the odds for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Favorites to be picked first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft

Shedeur Sanders (+380 via DraftKings)

It comes as no shock that Sanders is the frontrunner to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Following his move with his father, Deion, from Jackson State to Colorado last season, there was a lot of excitement surrounding the Buffaloes’ commitment to their football program.

Despite Colorado’s disappointing finish and failure to make a bowl game, Sanders was not to blame. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound junior had an impressive season, throwing for 3,230 yards with a 69.3% completion rate, 27 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.

Despite playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the country, Sanders demonstrated his efficiency and accuracy throughout the season. He is already being projected as the top pick in next April’s draft by many early mock drafts.

Carson Beck (+450 via DraftKings)

Heading into the college football championship, Georgia is the odds favorite, and Beck is generating significant Heisman buzz while also being touted as a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite some predictions that he would enter the 2024 NFL Draft as a potential top-15 selection, Beck chose to stay with the Bulldogs to improve his draft prospects.

Beck had an impressive debut season as Georgia’s starting quarterback, completing 72.4% of his passes for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns. He has received accolades for his strong pocket presence, precise mechanics, and skill in making full-field reads.

Mykel Williams (+1600 via DraftKings)

In today’s NFL, quarterbacks reign supreme, and the trends in the NFL draft have shown this for the past twenty years. However, occasionally a draft class emerges without a standout franchise quarterback. It is still uncertain if the 2025 draft class will have a top QB prospect, but it seems to be filled with a wealth of talented defensive players, making up for the lack of them in the 2024 draft.

At the forefront is Mykel Williams from Georgia, who recorded 13 tackles for loss and nine sacks in his first two seasons with the Bulldogs. While Williams has not yet fully showcased his potential, the former five-star recruit possesses the size (6-foot-5, 265) and athleticism that the NFL seeks in pass rushers.

In the last 11 NFL drafts, the only players who were not quarterbacks and were selected as the No. 1 pick were pass-rushers like Jadeveon Clowney, Myles Garrett, and Travon Walker.

It is well known that the success of NFL franchises heavily relies on their quarterbacks. This is evident in the 2024 NFL Draft where a record-tying six QBs were taken in the first round. Despite quarterbacks being the top pick in eight out of the last 10 draft classes, the 2025 draft does not have a clear-cut top QB prospect at this time.

This market is particularly challenging to predict before the start of the college football season due to the dominance of quarterbacks in the first overall pick. Beck and Sanders are not currently seen as the top choice prospects, making it hard to have confidence in the -165 odds. The 2025 NFL Draft is expected to be strong in premium positions like offensive tackle and edge rusher, adding to the uncertainty.
