NFL Conference Championships Odds, Lines: Chiefs Back to Betting Favorite
Throughout the week leading up to the AFC Championship Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs, the betting lines have been shifting. However, the top-seeded Chiefs have now established themselves as the favored team at home for Sunday’s highly anticipated matchup. Take a look at our breakdown of all the NFL odds and lines for the upcoming AFC and NFC Conference Championships.
After Patrick Mahomes fully participated in Wednesday’s practice, the Kansas City Chiefs are once again the betting favorite across all five of our top sportsbooks as of Thursday morning.
The Bengals’ strong case quickly turned Cincinnati from underdog to favorite in the betting world.
The buyback on the Chiefs started Tuesday evening, with the chalk being erased and rewritten twice by Thursday morning in preparation for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium.
While betting splits may indicate a stronger backing for Cincinnati, it is evident that there has also been significant respected betting activity in favor of Kansas City.
Below are the spread and Over/Under lines for the NFL Conference Championships, along with our predictions on how they may change over the course of the week. The odds were obtained from FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, PointsBet, and Caesars.

NFL Conference Championships odds and lines
49ers vs. Eagles Odds
Spread: Eagles -2.5
There has been little movement in the spread for the Philadelphia Eagles game. Most sportsbooks have the Eagles listed as 2.5-point home favorites, with BetMGM briefly offering the San Francisco 49ers as 3-point road underdogs earlier in the week. However, that line is no longer available. The majority of sportsbooks are favoring the Eagles with a higher price. While there is a possibility the line could shift to Eagles -3, it seems unlikely that the 49ers will be listed as +3.5 road underdogs.
Now that you are aware of the probabilities, take a look at our predictions for the 49ers vs. Eagles game.
Total: 46.5
As of Wednesday morning, the total remains above the important range of 43-44 and significantly below the key number of 51. There has been a slight increase from the 45.5 total available on Monday. Both DraftKings and FanDuel are currently listing the total at 46.5 on Wednesday, and two other top sportsbooks are also offering that same number as of Friday morning. However, Caesars is an exception with the total listed at 46. Based on the early betting activity, it is unlikely that there will be a significant change in this total leading up to Sunday.

Bengals vs. Chiefs Odds
Spread: Chiefs -1
Despite the spread on a yo-yo, the movement of the game has been somewhat predictable. Mahomes unexpectedly participated fully in practice on Wednesday, leading to a surge in betting support for the Chiefs. The spread, which initially favored the Chiefs by -2.5 or -3, has fluctuated to nearly Cincinnati -3 earlier in the week. The goal posts have been set, and with the ongoing adjustments, it is expected that there will be slight changes leading up to Sunday’s kickoff. FanDuel and PointsBet have adjusted the Bengals’ odds to +1.5 as a road underdog as of Friday morning.
Utilize this data to solidify your predictions for the AFC Championship between the Bengals and Chiefs.
Total: 48
The initial total swiftly decreased to a consensus 47.5 by Monday afternoon. Despite concerns about Mahomes’ injury, the number only slightly dropped, with FanDuel keeping it at 47.5 by Thursday afternoon. Surprisingly, there was no significant change after the release of the KC practice report on Wednesday. Both Caesars and PointsBet have maintained the number at 47.5, but I anticipate the Over to be the favored choice, causing the total to rise as we approach Sunday.
