Who Will Win the NFC?

Eagles (+1100)

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of confidence emanating from the Philadelphia Eagles camp as the team gears up to start the 2022 season.

Recently, Eagles camp has been known for controversy, whether it was related to the quarterback position or the coaching staff. However, this year the Eagles have managed to steer clear of any off-field drama. Coming off a surprising wild-card berth in 2021, this team appears ready to make significant progress and improve significantly.

Benefiting from a strong and skilled offensive line, Jalen Hurts is poised to solidify his place as a top-tier quarterback. In the 2021 season, he showcased his versatility by amassing 3,144 passing yards and 16 touchdown passes, in addition to 744 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Certainly, Philadelphia’s rushing game would greatly benefit from a full season of a healthy Miles Sanders. Unfortunately, he has only played in 12 games in each of the past two seasons. Having Sanders on the field consistently would solidify the Eagles as the NFL’s premier rushing team.

Hurts will also gain an advantage with the addition of A.J. Brown to the team. Brown, who joins Philadelphia after two seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards in Tennessee, will be a valuable asset.

The Eagles have the advantage of one of the league’s most favorable schedules as they head into the season. They are currently favored to win over 9.5 games with a -130 bet through BetMGM. Additionally, with older quarterbacks leading the top three teams in the NFC, a new era in the division could be on the horizon.

Packers (+500)

The Packers’ chances of winning the NFC hinge on star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but they remain strong contenders for success.

In 2021, Rodgers showcased his leadership by leading the team despite the absence of key offensive linemen and injuries to receivers. He surpassed 4,000 passing yards for the 10th time in his career, proving his greatness once again. After a tumultuous season and ongoing speculation about his future with the team, Rodgers is poised to come back with a vengeance in the upcoming season.

The road to a Super Bowl is filled with obstacles. With the loss of star receiver Davante Adams and the division rivals getting better, it is unlikely that the Packers will achieve a third consecutive 13-win season. It may be wise to bet on the team finishing with fewer than 11.5 wins.

However, Green Bay’s home schedule kicks off with four games against teams that only had a combined total of 24 wins in 2021, such as the New York Jets, New York Giants, and Chicago Bears. Despite this, the Packers are still in a strong position to secure one of the top playoff seeds in the NFC.

Buccaneers (+350)

Despite a shocking playoff loss to Los Angeles in the NFC divisional round, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still considered strong contenders for the Super Bowl with Tom Brady returning for another season. This marks their potential second appearance in the big game in three years.

The Buccaneers have resumed their dream team strategy, with Rob Gronkowski retiring and the team bringing in receivers Julio Jones and Russell Gage to fill the gap.

As Week 1 approaches, injuries continue to be a major concern. Both Gage and Chris Godwin have faced problems during training camp. The offensive line of Tampa Bay has also been affected, as center Ryan Jensen, guard Nick Leverett, and tackle Robert Hainsey are all sidelined.

Due to a mix of injuries and aging superstars, new head coach Todd Bowles will likely need to strategically handle the workload of his key players. As a result, the Buccaneers are favored at -135 odds to win under 11.5 games in their upcoming matches through BetMGM.

Bettors may want to exercise caution before placing bets on Tampa, as the first month of the season includes matchups against the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
