NFL Conference Championship Player Props

Jauan Jennings Under 2.5 receptions (-180 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐

Jauan Jennings, the 49ers wide receiver, only had more than two receptions in a game three times this season. Despite this, he has established a valuable role within the offense. However, as the team aims for the Super Bowl, it is unlikely that they will rely heavily on him, given their abundance of top-tier weapons.

One of the key factors contributing to Brock Purdy’s successful performance as quarterback is the abundance of talent that supports him on the field. With players like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco boasts a roster full of playmakers. Additionally, Elijah Mitchell adds to the depth of offensive options, leaving Jennings as perhaps the fifth or sixth choice. Throughout his five playoff games so far, Jennings has only exceeded two receptions in a single game.

The odds for Jennings’ total receptions prop are heavily in favor of the Under at 2.5. PointsBet offers -180 odds, which are better than other prices in the market that go as high as -200. Some books have the prop line listed at 1.5.

Jalen Hurts Under 10.5 rushing attempts (-125 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Compared to last week’s favorable matchup against the struggling Giants defense, this week’s NFC Championship Game presents a much tougher challenge for Jalen Hurts. The 49ers, who allowed the fewest rushing yards in the league this season and ranked second in adjusted efficiency against the run, will test Hurts and the Eagles in a completely different way.

Even though the Eagles’ rushing offense is up against a tough challenge, Hurts’ prop line for rushing attempts has increased compared to last week. Despite the focus on Hurts’ running skills, he has only had more than nine rushing attempts in one of his last five games and three times since Week 5 of the regular season.

Because San Francisco’s secondary is seen as the defense’s weakest point, it is expected that Hurts will focus on passing rather than running during Sunday’s game. The betting value on this proposition at PointsBet is also worth considering, as the price is much lower compared to other shops that have the line set at 10.5. Some shops even have it set at 9.5, making PointsBet a more attractive option.

Joe Mixon Over 58.5 rushing yards (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

In the regular season matchup between the Bengals and Chiefs, Joe Mixon was unable to play due to injury. However, he is expected to be on the field for the AFC Championship Game. Despite worries about Cincinnati’s injured offensive line, they proved their strength in the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills.

Even without Mixon in the early-December game against Kansas City, the Bengals’ rushing attack performed exceptionally well. Samaje Perine, also from Oklahoma, led the backfield and rushed for over 100 yards with an impressive 5.0 yards per carry average. Quarterback Joe Burrow also contributed with 46 rushing yards, making him a strong candidate to exceed his own rushing total in the AFC Championship game.

The Chiefs defense has been inconsistent against the run this season. With the Bengals’ talented receivers drawing focus, Mixon is expected to have opportunities to gain yards on the ground. Some sportsbooks have set his rushing yardage prop as high as 60.5.
