Seahawks vs. Giants prediction: Monday Night Football

Over 47 (-109 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Considering Daniel Jones’ poor 1-11 record in prime-time games, we are inclined to support Seattle’s moneyline odds in this matchup. Additionally, with New York struggling against top defenses in the NFL, we find the low game total too good to ignore.

The Giants faced tough opponents in the Cowboys and 49ers in two of their first three weeks, with Dallas ranking second in pass-rush win rate and San Francisco allowing the fewest yards per dropback in the NFL. However, they should have a better chance against the Seahawks, who are one of two teams to allow over 1,000 passing yards this season despite ranking fourth in pass-rush win rate.

Seattle allowed the sixth-highest yardage to tight ends, making it possible for New York tight end Darren Waller to have a breakout game. On the other hand, the Seahawks will have safety Jamal Adams back for the first time since his quad tendon injury in Week 1 of last year. It is likely that Adams will be limited in his playing time as the team gradually reintroduces him to the game.

In the past two weeks, Seattle quarterback Geno Smith has been averaging 312 passing yards per game, which is the fourth-highest in the NFL. He is set to face the New York Giants defense, which has been allowing 33 points per game and looks to exploit their weaknesses. Smith’s strong passing game has also benefited running back Kenneth Walker III. The Giants have struggled against opposing rushers, allowing Christian McCaffrey and Tony Pollard to rack up 155 yards, 4.84 yards per carry, and three touchdowns. Walker is expected to thrive alongside a successful Seahawks passing attack against the Giants.

Over backers will notice a significant value discrepancy between our top sports betting apps, with the totals ranging from 47 to 47.5. BetRivers stands out as the only provider offering a price lower than the standard -110 for betting on the Over at the lower end of 47. In the past three meetings between the Seahawks and Giants dating back to 2017, the Under has been the winning bet.

Seahawks vs. Giants odds analysis

The Over/Under steadily increased throughout the week, hitting a low of 45 at some of our top sports betting sites before the Over supporters pushed the line up. Early betting trends show a 60/40 split in favor of the Over.

Most sportsbooks have Seattle as a -1 or -1.5 favorite, but Caesars is the only one to favor New York at -1. Initially, the Giants were unanimously -1 or -1.5 favorites before the line shifted at some top sportsbooks. The point spread also has a similar divide, with 59% of early bettors favoring the Seahawks.

Seattle is favored to win with moneyline odds ranging from +110 at Caesars to -126 at FanDuel. New York has not won any of its last seven Monday Night Football games and has covered the spread in three of them.
