It’s hard to ignore these statistics when predicting the Chiefs’ success.

Despite Trevor Lawrence’s impressive performance during Jacksonville’s recent 7-1 winning streak, Patrick Mahomes is still considered superior due to his experience, talent, and the strong group of skilled players surrounding him.

I typically don’t give much weight to home-field advantage, but with cold and wet weather expected in Kansas City on Saturday night, the Chiefs’ familiarity with Arrowhead Stadium could work in their favor. I think the spread can be adjusted to less than a field goal, and I trust the combination of Reid and Mahomes to cover the reduced number in this situation.

Eagles (-1.5 vs. Giants)

I believe that the Eagles have a significant advantage in this schedule spot.

The Eagles had the advantage of a week off to rest and prepare, while the New York Giants are facing their third straight road game and fifth in a span of six weeks. That’s a significant amount of time spent traveling.

Although I acknowledge New York’s impressive 14-4 record against the spread, I believe they are a much weaker team in terms of talent and performance. The Giants ranked 29th in defensive DVOA according to Football Outsiders and allowed the fifth-highest EPA per play during the regular season. Additionally, their performance declined after their Week 10 bye, with second-to-last rankings in both metrics.

By utilizing a six-point teaser, the line is shifted across key numbers, ultimately landing below a field-goal spread. My prediction is that Philadelphia will score heavily, revealing the limitations of New York’s defense which has outperformed expectations.
