Anytime touchdown scorer picks
- Christian McCaffrey anytime TD first half (+210 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Travis Kelce first Kansas City touchdown scorer (+350 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Boston Scott anytime TD (+700 via Barstool) ⭐⭐⭐
Christian McCaffrey anytime TD first half (+210) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Christian McCaffrey has had a resurgence in his career since joining the San Francisco 49ers, scoring a total of 10 touchdowns. He has found the end zone in each of his last six regular season games, with five of his 13 touchdowns coming in the first half of the season.
The Eagles defense gave up an average of 2.3 touchdowns per game during the regular season, including 9.7 points in the first half. Six opposing running backs scored touchdowns in the first half against Philadelphia. In total, the Eagles allowed 13 rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns to opposing running backs.
Christian McCaffrey is favored to score a touchdown at -130 on various sportsbooks, but has even better odds at -150 on DraftKings. Betting on him to score in the first half may provide better value. With Elijah Mitchell missing practice this week, McCaffrey’s chances of scoring on Sunday are even higher, making this prop bet more appealing.
Travis Kelce first Kansas City touchdown scorer (+350) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Travis Kelce, the tight end for Kansas City, ended a six-game scoring drought by scoring two touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. He was the first Chiefs player to score in that game. Out of his 12 regular season touchdowns, half of them were the first 6-point plays for Kansas City.
The Bengals successfully contained Kelce, limiting the All-Pro tight end to only one touchdown in their four previous matchups. Cincinnati’s defense also allowed just three touchdowns to opposing tight ends all season. However, given Kelce’s recent performance, it will be a challenge to prevent him from scoring at least one touchdown on Sunday.
Boston Scott anytime TD (+700) ⭐⭐⭐
Despite his limited opportunities, Eagles backup RB Boston Scott has scored in three of his last four games. He found the end zone in the Eagles’ playoff game against the New York Giants last week. Throughout the final nine weeks of the season, Scott had 11 chances to score in the red zone. He capitalized on his only touch inside the 20-yard line last week.
In three of their last four games, including the playoffs, San Francisco’s defense allowed a rushing touchdown. Throughout the regular season, the 49ers gave up an average of just 0.6 rushing touchdowns per game. Despite this statistic, the upcoming game is expected to be closely fought, potentially resulting in some unusual scores.
With the exception of Barstool, most books have the line set at +500. This is considered a longshot due to the tough 49ers’ defense and Scott’s limited opportunities to carry the ball. Despite this, it may be worth taking a chance on Scott, as he has recently scored touchdowns and could do so again when given the opportunity.
