Travis Kelce NFL player prop predictions for Week 6

Travis Kelce player props

Travis Kelce Over 6.5 receptions (+110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite being injured, Kelce remains the team leader with 37 targets and 27 receptions. He has exceeded these numbers twice this season, including a standout performance of 10 catches against the Minnesota Vikings last week. In his career, Kelce has caught at least seven passes in seven games against the Broncos, including their last meeting at the end of last season.

The Broncos defense has been successful in containing opposing tight ends this season, allowing just an average of 5.2 receptions per game. Cole Kmet is the only tight end to surpass this mark against Denver, recording seven catches in their game. The Washington Commanders and New York Jets are the only other teams to have their tight ends combine for seven receptions against the Broncos.

Nevertheless, Evans Santiago is considering one of Kelce’s understudies in his predictions for anytime and first touchdown scorers for TNF.

Travis Kelce longest reception Under 19.5 yards (-105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kelce has only recorded one reception of 20 yards or more in his four games this season. He is currently averaging just 8.2 yards per catch, which is below his career average of 12.6 yards per reception.

Kelce had 10 games last season where he caught at least this many passes. However, if he is still recovering from his recent injury, it may affect his ability to gain yards after catching the ball, making achieving 20 yards challenging.

Denver has been giving up big plays to tight ends this season, allowing a reception of 20+ yards to all but one team. Kansas City might not need to use Kelce as a deep threat in this game, opting to keep him closer to the line of scrimmage to prevent any potential injuries.

Phil Wood also incorporated Patrick Mahomes’ NFL player props for Thursday Night Football into this angle.

Travis Kelce first reception Over 9.5 yards (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although Kelce has not been consistently gaining large amounts of yards per play this season, he has still managed to start three out of four games with a catch of at least 10 yards. Last week was the first time this year that he did not achieve this on his first catch. On two occasions, Kelce has finished games with an average of more than 10 yards per catch.

Opposing tight ends are averaging 12.15 yards per reception against the Broncos. Denver has allowed a tight end to gain at least 10 yards on their first reception in four out of five games this season, with two instances resulting in the tight end’s only catch of the game.
