Nevertheless, due to the Bengals’ struggling defense in recent games, Lawrence is likely to surpass this yardage mark even if the Jaguars dominate the game from beginning to end.
In the past three games, the Bengals have given up more than 400 yards of total offense. In their most recent game, they allowed Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett to throw for a season-high 278 yards. With QB Joe Burrow out, the Bengals’ offense struggles to sustain drives, leaving the defense vulnerable to fatigue. This could lead to a big day for Lawrence against a defense that is allowing an average of 249.6 passing yards per game.
