The Chiefs boast the league’s second-best passing defense and have only allowed two 100-yard receivers this season. However, their success has largely come against weaker offenses in the first eight weeks. When facing teams ranked in the top six in passing yards, the Chiefs have allowed each quarterback to surpass 250 yards in three games.
Despite potential early success by the Kansas City defense against Hill, we have three key reasons why we are confident in his Over prop this week. Firstly, Hill is essentially immune to matchups, secondly, his explosive big-play potential, and lastly, his motivation. Hill has only had three games this season with less than 100 receiving yards. One of those games was against the Philadelphia Eagles where he had 88 yards, and the other two were against division rivals who are more familiar with him due to facing him multiple times per season.

In five out of his eight games this season, Hill has caught a minimum of eight passes. He only has two games where he caught five or fewer receptions, and both of those games were against division rivals. While Hill may sometimes limit his own receptions with explosive plays, it is likely that Miami head coach Mike McDaniel will find innovative ways to involve his star receiver in the upcoming game.

Hill leads the NFL with 380 yards after the catch this season, showcasing his ability to turn short plays into big gains effortlessly. His dominance in this area makes it difficult to bet against him in the Under Prop market. Despite our belief that his numbers should be even higher, the Dolphins’ struggles against strong opponents have led to him being underestimated. We would consider taking this bet up to 30 yards.
