Thursday’s NHL player props

Bobby McMann Over 2.5 shots on goal vs. Bruins (+172 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Over the past few weeks, Maple Leafs winger Bobby McMann has been consistently firing shots on goal. His shot total is currently set at 1.5, with odds favoring the over at -182. We are now considering increasing the bet to over 2.5 at +172 on FanDuel.

McMann has surpassed 3.5 shots on goal in his last four games and six of his past seven matchups, with a standout five-shot performance against the Bruins earlier this week.

The winger’s ice time has been on the rise in recent weeks, and he is taking full advantage by consistently shooting on goal. I am confident in betting on McMann to continue his streak of hitting this mark in four consecutive games, with odds of +172 or Over 3.5 at +415.

Gustav Nyquist to record a point vs. Sabres (-135 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gustav Nyquist, a seasoned winger, is having a comeback season in Nashville. Despite only scoring 27 points in 51 games split between Columbus and Minnesota last year, Nyquist has already tallied 53 points in 63 games with the Predators this season.

Nyquist is currently skating on the first line alongside Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly. After recording a two-point game against the Canadiens, he has accumulated 15 points in 12 games following the All-Star break.

In 40 out of 63 games this season, Nyquist has scored a point, giving him a success rate of 63%. The odds of -135 suggest a 57.45% chance of success, making him a good bet against a fatigued Buffalo team on Thursday at DraftKings.

Thursday’s NHL game picks

Predators ML vs. Sabres (-160 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Sabres face a challenging situation tonight in Nashville following their game in Toronto last night. Despite a hard-fought overtime loss in Toronto, Buffalo must now play the second game of a back-to-back.

After a disappointing overtime loss to the Canadiens on Tuesday night, the Predators have been patiently waiting at home. This was their only game since last Thursday, giving them a significant rest advantage over the Sabres.

After losing two consecutive games, the Sabres are facing the possibility of a third loss tonight against the Predators. U.P. Luukkonen was the starting goalie on Wednesday, but it is likely that Eric Comrie will take the net tonight to avoid overworking Luukkonen. Even if Luukkonen does start, he struggled in the second half of the back-to-back games last week, resulting in a 5-2 loss to Winnipeg.

I recommend betting on the Predators at home against the Sabres with odds up to -175. However, you can currently get a better deal by using our BetMGM bonus code: SBRBONUS.

Canucks ML vs. Golden Knights (+100 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Golden Knights caused a stir on Wednesday evening with their acquisition of defenseman Noah Hanifin. However, even if he is able to play on Thursday, it will still take some time for Vegas to hit their stride.

The Knights have been facing significant challenges lately, suffering three consecutive losses and posting a 2-7-1 record in their last 10 games. Additionally, this upcoming game marks their return home after a lengthy stretch on the road.

The Canucks recently faced a slump but appear to be overcoming it now. They have won their last two games, both away from home, and have a 3-1-1 record in their last five games following a four-game losing streak.

This game started off with even odds, but now the Canucks are considered underdogs with even money. This seems strange, considering Vancouver has the third-highest expected goals for percentage in the league over the last 10 games, while Vegas has the eighth-lowest.

The best NHL bets were placed on Thursday at 11:50 a.m. ET.
