Former bantamweight champion Holly Holm will face off against Mayra Bueno Silva in the main event of UFC Vegas 77 on Saturday night. Check out our UFC best bets for Saturday using the odds from our top sportsbooks.

After her career-defining win at UFC 289, Amanda Nunes, the dominant 135-pound champion, has now retired, leaving the women’s bantamweight division with a sense of unpredictability and opportunity.

Enter Holly Holm

Holm, a former champion in her own right, had previously been defeated by “The Lioness” and it appeared unlikely that she would have another shot at the gold as long as the Brazilian was dominating. However, with three victories in her last four fights and Nunes’ retirement, the possibility of a title fight for “The Preacher’s Daughter” doesn’t seem out of reach.

Mayra Bueno Silva poses a significant challenge for Holm. With three consecutive wins in the Octagon, Silva has the potential to climb to the top of the division if she can defeat Holm on Saturday night. In her most recent fight at a Fight Night event in February, Silva secured a victory over Lina Lansberg with a skillful kneebar submission.

Additionally, Jack Maddalena will face off against Bassil Hafez, while Jun Yong Park will go up against Albert Duraev on the card.

O/U: Della Maddalena vs. Hafez Under 1.5 rounds (-205 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Having had two fights canceled at UFC 290, Della Maddalena is eager to bring the pain. With an impressive 4-0 record since entering the Octagon in 2022, the 26-year-old Australian has dominated each of his opponents in the first round. In fact, out of his 16 career fights, Della Maddalena has only gone beyond the first round seven times.

Hafez is making his UFC debut on short notice, so it’s unlikely he will be able to compete with Della Maddalena. However, betting straight up on Della Maddalena (-585 DraftKings) doesn’t offer much value. It’s better to bet on an early finish until you have more options available, such as betting on the winning method or winning method + round. You could also include a Della Maddalena bet in a parlay to increase the potential payout.

Time prop: Duraev vs. Park to go the distance (-110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I view this as a fairly balanced fight, with neither man expected to dominate. Duraev has not fulfilled the exciting potential he showed in his victory on Dana White’s Contender Series. Despite his impressive finish of Caio Bitencourt with a neck crank, Duraev has only managed a 2-1 record since then, with both wins coming via decision.

Park has achieved three consecutive victories, but he lacks a standout win and has not faced top-tier opponents in his recent matches.

I anticipate that this match will last the full 15 minutes, as both competitors will evenly match each other without one dominating the other.

Holly Holm’s impressive career has featured many devastating head kicks, but she has not shown that level of aggression in a while. In her last four fights, she has gone the distance and has not had a finish in over six years. It is unlikely that this pattern will change in her upcoming fight on Saturday night.

Silva has only lost by decision in both of her fights, and I doubt that she will be able to keep Holm, an extremely athletic opponent, on the ground long enough to use her strong grappling skills (Holm successfully defends 78% of takedown attempts, while Silva only lands 50% of hers). It may not be a fast or exciting fight, but Holm will do enough over five rounds to remain a top contender in the division.
