Gamblers are eagerly placing bets on the Over in the Jacksonville Jaguars-Kansas City Chiefs game, causing the total to surge. Continue reading for our breakdown of all the NFL odds and lines for the Divisional Round.

The Jaguars made an impressive comeback, overcoming a 27-point deficit to surprise the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday and secure a spot in the Divisional Round against the Chiefs. Oddsmakers initially set the game with the highest Over/Under total of the four-game lineup, and bettors quickly placed their bets on the Over.

During the regular season, Kansas City led the NFL in points per game with an average of 29.2, while Jacksonville has won seven of their last eight games since their bye in Week 11, averaging 27.4 points per contest.

These two teams are expected to have a high-scoring game, with the total currently trading between 53 and 54 points. It raises the question: When will we see a decrease in bets on the Under?

Below are the NFL point spread and Over/Under lines for the Divisional Round, along with our predictions on how they will shift over the course of the week, based on odds from FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, PointsBet, and Caesars.

Take a look at our NFL predictions and top bets.

NFL Divisional Round Odds and Lines: Saturday

Jaguars vs. Chiefs Odds

Spread: Chiefs -8.5

Several shops initially opened with the Chiefs as a -10 home favorite, but now most have settled on a near-consensus -8.5 line due to betting support for the Jaguars. PointsBet, however, is offering an outlier Chiefs -9 line. It is likely that the spread will fluctuate between the key numbers of 7 and 10. As of Tuesday morning, the betting action has evened out following the initial line movement.

Total: 53

The total for this game opened above the key number of 51, and early bets are favoring the Over. After Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Chargers combined for 61 points on Saturday, it’s no surprise. Additionally, Kansas City averaged the most points per game during the regular season. FanDuel currently has a total of 52.5, the only sportsbook with a number outside the key range of 53-54. It seems likely that this total will keep increasing until there is some buyback on the Under.

Giants vs. Eagles Odds

Spread: Eagles -7.5

The New York Giants continued their strong performance against the spread with a surprise victory over the Minnesota Vikings last week, bringing their record to 14-4. Early betting on their upcoming game has been fairly even. While there was a slight difference in the initial odds, all top sportsbooks now have the Philadelphia Eagles listed as a -7.5 favorite for their home game on Saturday. I believe this line may be too low and anticipate that the public will lean towards the Eagles as we approach game day. Additionally, the fact that the Eagles have had a week off may not have been fully factored into the odds, especially considering the Giants will be playing their third consecutive road game.

Total: 48

Gamblers are rushing to place bets on the Over, causing the total to increase to 48.5 on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Initially, the total opened at 46.5 or 47 depending on the sportsbook, indicating a small adjustment has already occurred. There is still potential for the total to rise further before hitting the important number of 51. However, I expect there to be a rebound in bets on the Under before it reaches that point.

NFL Divisional Round Odds and Lines: Sunday

Bengals vs. Bills Odds

Spread: Bills -5

This game is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated matchups of the week, and it has the potential to be the highlight of the weekend. The Buffalo Bills are currently favored by either -4 or -4.5 points at home, depending on the sportsbook, with no consensus line established yet. Despite some betting support for the Cincinnati Bengals, the spread has not shifted to the key number of 4. FanDuel has the Bengals at +4.5, while BetMGM has the Bills at -5.5. It is possible that the line could change before Sunday, but it seems likely that the spread will remain between 4 and 7 points.

Total: 48.5

Just like the point spread, there is variation in the total points prediction among our top sportsbooks. DraftKings has the highest total at 49, while BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet all have it at 48. Some bookmakers initially set the total as high as 50.5 on Tuesday, but that option is no longer available. Recreational bettors may lean towards betting the Over this weekend, but there has already been some betting on the Under when the total got close to the key number of 51. It’s possible that the total may increase again before Sunday, but it is unlikely to go above the key number.

Cowboys vs. 49ers Odds

Spread: 49ers +3.5

Both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys had strong victories during Wild Card Weekend. San Francisco is currently favored by 4 points at home, with balanced early betting action keeping the spread close to the key number of 4. However, there has been some buyback on Dallas at +4, while the Niners have been receiving the majority of bets at -3.5. This back-and-forth battle could continue throughout the week, but the current spread seems accurate above the key number of 3 and at or below 4.

Total: 46

There has been little betting activity on the total score of 46 at most sportsbooks, with Caesars offering an outlier of 47 that suggests early support for the Over. I predict that the number will likely rise across all sportsbooks. The market for this game has only been open for a short time since Dallas played on Monday. Given these factors, I would be surprised if the total score does not increase soon.
