Gamblers are quickly placing bets on the Over in the Jacksonville Jaguars-Kansas City Chiefs game, causing the total to surge. Keep reading for our breakdown of all the NFL odds and lines for the Divisional Round.

The Jaguars staged an impressive comeback, overcoming a 27-point deficit to shock the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. Their victory sets up a Divisional Round matchup with the Chiefs. Oddsmakers set the game with the highest Over/Under total of the four-game slate, and bettors eagerly placed their bets on the Over.

During the regular season, Kansas City led the NFL in points per game with an average of 29.2. Meanwhile, Jacksonville has won seven of their last eight games, averaging 27.4 points per contest since their Week 11 bye.

These two teams are expected to have a close and high-scoring game, leading to the total trading in the range of 53-54. The question now is when we will start to see people betting on the Under.

Below are the NFL spread and Over/Under lines for the Divisional Round, along with our predictions on how they will change over the course of the week. These odds are provided by FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, PointsBet, and Caesars.

Take a look at our NFL predictions and top bets.

NFL Divisional Round Odds and Lines: Saturday

Jaguars vs. Chiefs Odds

Spread: Chiefs -8.5

Some shops initially had the Chiefs as a -10 home favorite, but now there is a consensus -8.5 line due to support for the Jaguars. PointsBet is an outlier with a Chiefs -9 line. The spread is expected to fluctuate between the key numbers of 7 and 10. Betting action has evened out as of Tuesday morning.

Total: 53

The total for this game opened above the key number of 51, and early bets are heavily favoring the Over. After Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Chargers scored a combined 61 points on Saturday, it’s no surprise. Kansas City had the highest points per game average during the regular season. FanDuel currently offers a total of 52.5, the only sportsbook with a number still below the key range of 53-54. It seems likely that this total will keep rising until there is some buyback on the Under.

Giants vs. Eagles Odds

Spread: Eagles -7.5

The New York Giants, now 14-4 against the spread, pulled off an upset win against the Minnesota Vikings on the road last week. The early betting action for their upcoming game is fairly even. While there was a slight difference in the opening number, all top-rated sportsbooks currently have the Philadelphia Eagles listed as a -7.5 home favorite for the game on Saturday. I believe this number may be too low and anticipate the public to heavily favor the Eagles. Additionally, the fact that the Eagles have had a week off may not be factored in enough, especially considering this will be the Giants’ third consecutive road game.

Total: 48

Gamblers are rushing to place bets on the Over, causing DraftKings and FanDuel to raise the number to 48.5. The initial total opened at 46.5 or 47 at different sportsbooks, indicating a slight change. There is still potential for the number to increase further towards the important threshold of 51. However, I expect there to be a resurgence of bets on the Under before it reaches that point.

NFL Divisional Round Odds and Lines: Sunday

Bengals vs. Bills Odds

Spread: Bills -5

This upcoming game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals is anticipated to be the most thrilling matchup of the week. The Bills are currently favored by either -4 or -4.5 points, depending on the sportsbook, but there is still no consensus on the spread. Despite some support for the Bengals, the spread has not shifted to the key number of 4. FanDuel has Cincinnati at +4.5, while BetMGM has the Bills at -5.5. It is possible for the spread to change before game day, but it is likely to remain between 4 and 7 points.

Total: 48.5

Just like the point spread, there is a discrepancy in the total points predicted by our top sportsbooks. DraftKings has the highest total at 49, while BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet all have it at 48. Some bookmakers had the total as high as 50.5 on Tuesday morning, but that option is no longer available. Recreational bettors may bet on the Over this weekend, but there has already been some betting on the Under when the total approached the key number of 51. It is possible for the total to increase again before Sunday, but it is unlikely to go above the key number.

Cowboys vs. 49ers Odds

Spread: 49ers +3.5

Both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys won decisively during Wild Card Weekend, with San Francisco opening as a popular -4 home favorite. Early betting has been fairly even, with the spread staying close to the key number of 4. However, there has been a trend of bettors favoring Dallas at +4. Similarly, the majority of bets have been on the Niners when listed as -3.5 favorites. This back-and-forth battle could continue throughout the week, but the current spread appears to be accurate, falling above the key number of 3 and at or below 4.

Total: 46

There has been little betting activity on the total score of 46 at most sportsbooks, causing the number to remain unchanged. However, Caesars is offering a slightly higher number of 47, suggesting early support for the Over. I believe there is a possibility for the total to increase across all sportsbooks. Considering Dallas’s recent Monday game, the market for this total has not been open for long. It would be surprising if this number does not quickly rise.
